The camp was organized by the Department of Community Medicine, Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar, in collaboration with BMO Hazratbal, with the objective of extending quality healthcare services to the local population at their doorstep.

Speaking on the occasion, Haji Mubarak Gul Sahib appreciated the initiative and lauded the medical fraternity for their commitment towards public welfare. “Healthcare is a basic right of every citizen. Organizing such outreach programmes ensures that people, especially from under-served areas, receive timely medical attention and awareness about preventive care,” he said. The MLA assured full support for more such camps in the constituency in the future.

A team of doctors and specialists from different fields, including general medicine, pediatrics, gynecology, dermatology, ophthalmology, and ENT, provided free consultation and check-ups. Patients were also given health awareness on common diseases, nutrition, and preventive practices.

Officials from GMC Srinagar and BMO Hazratbal expressed gratitude to the MLA for his encouragement and reiterated their commitment to organizing more health initiatives for the community.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the local public, who welcomed the initiative as a much-needed step towards accessible and affordable healthcare.
