The Jammu and Kashmir powerlifting team shine at the Powerlifting Championship held in Mehsana, Gujarat, under the banner of Powerlifting Sport Organisation, from August 1st to 3rd.
The team won gold, silver, and bronze medals in various categories, bringing pride to their state.
Notable achievements:
– Gurbaksh Singh won the strongman title in the 74 kg unequipped category (full powerlifting)
– Praveen Kumar set a new national record in the master category (Bench press)
– Prerna, Palak, and Sonia won gold medals in their respective categories.
