Anantnag, July 15: A 46-year-old Amarnath Yatra pilgrim from Maharashtra died due to a cardiac arrest in Pahalgam area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, officials said on Tuesday.
An official told that the deceased pilgrim, identified as Sanjay Musurkanth, son of Shankar Masurkath, a resident of Maharashtra, suddenly fell unconscious near the upper side of the exit gate at Chandanwari.
Army personnel immediately rushed him to the Base Hospital Chandanwari for medical treatment. However, the doctors declared him brought dead on arrival, attributing the cause of death to a cardiac arrest. He added
