Continuing its fight against the drug menace, Kupwara Police apprehended two drug peddlers and seized contraband substances during a surprise Naka checking at FCI Bumhama on the evening of 11th February 2025, at around 9:00 PM. A police party from Police Post Drugmulla found two individuals moving suspiciously and, upon searching them, recovered 1200 grams of charas powder-like substance and 20 grams of charas-like substance from their possession.The accused have been identified as Aijaz Ahmad Ganie, S/O Khazir Mohammad Ganie R/O Khumriyal and Hakim Din Khatana S/O Taj Din Khatana, R/O Gagal Katiyawali
In this regard, FIR No. 43/2025 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kupwara, and further investigation is underway.Kupwara Police remains steadfast in its mission against drug peddling and urges the general public to cooperate by providing any information about such activities to help build a drug-free society.
