SRINAGAR, Feb 5: Security forces today recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition in the Uri forest area of Baramulla district.
An official said that a joint team of security forces unearthed a cache of arms and ammunition from a hollow pine tree in the Anganpathri forest area of Uri sector in Baramulla district.
The recovered arms and ammunition, which were wrapped in a blanket, include three AK-47 rifles, 11 AK magazines, 292 AK rounds, one UBGL (Under Barrel Grenade Launcher), nine UBGL grenades and two hand grenades. “In connection with this recovery, FIR No. 07/2025 has been registered at Police Station Boniyar, Baramulla and further investigations are underway,” the official said.
