JAMMU, Jan 24: The Special Investigating Unit (SIU) of Kishtwar police today attached properties of 11 more terrorists hailing from the district and now operating from Pakistan and Pakistan occupied jammu Kashmir (PoJK). Some of them are still masterminding terror activities in the region while sitting across the border.
A total of 36 identified terrorists from Kishtwar are operating from Pakistan and PoJK. After their identification and completion of all legal formalities, Kishtwar police attached properties of seven of them earlier while assets of 11 others were attached today. Properties of rest of the terrorists are being identified for attachment in future, the officials said.
Police team led by DySP Vishal Sharma working under the supervision of SSP Kishtwar Javaid Iqbal Mir initiated legal proceedings before the NIA Special Court Doda. Additional District and Sessions Judge Sudesh Sharma, who is Special Judge NIA Court Doda issued attachment orders for properties of the terrorists.
Eleven terrorists whose properties were attached by the SIU of Kishtwar police today include Shabir Ahmed alias Junaid son of Ghulam Mohammad Rishi and Jamal Din Naik alias Mudassir son of Ghulam Qadir Naik, both residents of Sewa Chatroo, Shabir Ahmed son of Gaffar Beigh of Beigh Pura Singpura, Manzoor Ahmed son of Abdul Rahim Kholi R/o Zella Chatroo, Ghulam Mohammad Gujjar son of Faqeera Gujjar, resident of Titwan Gurinal Chatroo, Ghulam Nabi alias Majid son of Mohd Akbar Wani and Mohd Shafi alias Majid son of Mohd Afzal Wani, both residents of Sherri Sigdi, Ghulam Hussain Sheikh son of Ghulam Rasool Sheikh of Sheikhpur Kuchaal, Bashir Ahmed Raina alias Showkat son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Raina R/o Raina Mohalla, Kuchhal, Gulzar Ahmed alias Javid son of Abdul Gaffar Malik, a resident of Rather Mohalla, Kuchhal and Gulabu son of Hashim Gujjar R/o Rahalthal, Mughal Maidan.
The SIU teams of Kishtwar police today visited residences and other premises of the terrorists under tight security arrangements and attached properties which had already been identified.
Meanwhile, ADGP Jammu Zone Anand Jain said that properties of 18 more absconding terrorists have been identified, and the process for their attachment is underway. This will further tighten the noose on terror operatives, leaving no room for anti-national activities.
Reaffirming the commitment to uproot terrorism, the ADGP Jammu stated that such actions form part of a larger strategy aimed at disrupting the terror infrastructure, ensuring that no asset is misused to fund or support anti-national activities.
In a strong message, Jain warned anti-national elements, Over Ground Workers, and sleeper cells to shun their activities and return to the mainstream. He cautioned that anyone aiding or abetting terrorism will face the full force of the law. He urged the citizens to remain vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement agencies by reporting any suspicious activity.
