JAMMU  Dec 27: The jammu and Kashmir Government has declared a seven-day State mourning from December 26, 2024 to January 1, 2025, to honour the former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, who passed away on December 26 at AIIMS in New Delhi.

During this period, the National Flag will be flown at half-must at all official locations, and no official entertainment events will take place.
The decision to observe State mourning was taken by the Government of India to honour Dr Singh’s immense contributions to the nation as a visionary leader and economist.
Meanwhile, the Government of India on Friday announced seven days of State mourning as a mark of respect to Dr Manmohan Singh.
