A suspicious tunnel has been found near International border (IB) at Jarai village in J&K’s Samba district. However, there is no official confirmation of presence of such tunnel yet.
Reports have said that a suspicious pit like deep tunnel has been discovered by Border Security force personnel today at Jarai village in Lala Chak Tehsil Rajpura of Samba district, after its discovery the sniffer dogs have been put into service to examine it.
The J&K police, security forces, intelligence agencies have launched a search operation in the area to check whether some terrorist have crossed into this side of the border or not.
The army is also using sophisticated tools to surveil the international border in Samba because such tunnels had been used earlier by the terrorists for infiltration to disrupt peace in J&K.
