The Director Railways Jammu on Thursday interacting with media said he has been given responsibility to make necessary infrastructure and arrangements for stoppage of new Vande Bharat train at Kathua railway station.
“In Kathua, the district headquarters station, we are currently operating two Vande Bharat trains. Jammu and Kashmir is the second district in India to have such a service. We have been operating it for eight hours already”, said Pradeep Srivastav, Director Railways Jammu.
Talking further to the media, he said, “Additional plans include the construction of new building to facilitate smoother navigation for travelers and the installation of a foot bridge and a ramp for enhanced convivence”.
