Police team from Post Tikri led by PSI Sahil Chib while performing vehicle checking at Lehnu-Katra road noticed the movement of one suspicious person namely Ankush Mehra @Anku S/O Late Sh. Madan Lal R/O W.No. 02 Barrian, Udhampur who was directed to stop for checking.
On frisking, 4.5 grams of heroin (chitta) like Contraband substance was recovered from his possession and the said accused was arrested on spot.
On this, a case vide FIR No. 05/2024 U/S 8/21/22/ NDPS Act stands registered in P/S Rehambal and further investigation was set into probe.
