Jammu drivers expressed resentment over new rules of Centre for stricter punishment for drivers

Jammu: Several drivers in Jammu on Monday expressed resentment over the new centre rules for punishing drivers over frequent road accidents, the Centre has tightened the rules for penalising drivers.

Speaking to the media, an elderly local driver said, “We strictly condemned this new rule if the govt implements it. The govt should understand that in the coming times no one would choose this driving profession if this new rule is enacted”.
“The drivers has biggest contribution in the economy of this country by working day and night. To benefit few special people the regime has introduced this law against drivers and we will not tolerate this.
“The govt must take back this law just like it scrapped farming laws otherwise their end is near. Drivers shouldn’t be underestimated. It will be implemented against commoners also.
“We are observing a one day strike and talks are going on. The home minister should think again on this law as drivers already face many restrictions”.
