Several women burglars nabbed, goods worth lakhs recovered in Jammu

Jammu police on Sunday solving a theft case nabbed several women burglars from Rajiv area of Jammu city and recovered goods worth lakhs of rupees from them.

As per report, a theft complaint was registered at Bakshi Nagar police station by one Ashwini Kumar Suri s/o Late Rampal Suri of Rehari colony that 7 women stole merchandise worth 12 lac from his shop. On the basis of this police complaint the SSP Jammu Vinod  Kumar held a  committee, in which police personnel were sent to different parts of the city to conduct raids to nab the accused women.

A case FIR NO. 165/2023 u/s 457, 380 was registered at Bakshi Nagar police station and  inquest proceedings was initiated into the case through PP Sarwal Incharge, SHO Bakshi Nagar and SDPO Bakshi Nagar Jammu and with the aid of CCTV cameras police held eight persons.

However, when Bakshi Nagar police station interrogated the accused women strictly the arrested women burglars confessed their crime.

The arrested 7 women burglars were identified as: Veena alias Maasi w/o Late Balbir, Bago w/o Late Raja, Keeshu w/o Leela Kumar, Toshi w/o Jinda, Reena w/o Babi, Chinno Devi w/o Tamma Ram, Venu w/o Kishore Kumar. A man Mohd Latief s/o Din Mohd was also arrested by the police who was hired by the women criminals in this theft and provided his car ‘JK02CWU9141’ to load the stolen goods.

The police has also nabbed the man and the seven women.

However, the Bakshi Nagar police station has also solved another laptop burglary case FIR 176/2023 u/s 380 of IPC registered at Bakshi Nagar police station by nabbing the thief Honey Chopra s/o  Kamal Chopra r/o Rehari colony of Jammu city, who stole the laptop from a shop.
