Protesting Job Aspirants Lathicharged in Jammu

Jammu: Scores of protesting job aspirants were lathi-charge during a protest in Jammu on Thursday.

Several young Fire and Emergency services department job aspirants protesting outside Maharaja Hari Singh Park in Jammu against the J&K regime demanded that the enquiry committee formed to investigate wrongdoings in the selection process in F&ES Department be made public.

During the agitation the J&K police resorted to cane charging against the dissenters to disperse them while the aspirants were raising slogans against the LG govt in their protest.

“We have been thrashed badly by the local police”, one of the F&E protestors told media who was lathicharged by police.
