                  Woman gang-raped in Jammu

Jammu: Three men were arrested by Gangyal police in Jammu after a 23-year-old woman alleged that she was given car lift and gang-raped by them in three different locations in Jammu city last night yesterday.
As per report, the matter came to fore when the victim approached Gangyal police and narrated her ordeal that yesterday night she went to a restaurant in Greater Kailash area of Jammu for attending a party, where she met three youth and who befriended her there and after the party on pretext of giving lift to the woman the three youth raped her in different areas of Jammu and later dumped her out of the moving car.

Taking action on the victim’s complaint the Gangyal police station’s Police officer Jaswinder Singh sent the raped woman for medical examination and arrested the three youth after identifying the vehicle and the three accused were nabbed with the help of CCTV footage of the restaurant.
The three accused belong to prominent traders of Jammu. The victim belongs to some other district of Jammu and she was staying in Jammu for studying these days.
A case was registered at Gangyal police station and further investigation is being conducted them.
