2 terror associates arrested: Police
Jammu: Two terrorist associates of Lashkar-e-Toiba were arrested along the bypass in Srinagar on yesterday, Police said.
A statement of J&K Police issued here said that Police on Tuesday received information about the movement of suspected terrorists along the bypass in Srinagar.

“On receiving this information, a joint team of Police in Srinagar and QRT of CRPF set up a checkpoint near Sham Lal Petrol Pump, N R Colony at the Bypass,” the statement said.
It said that upon seeing a Police party at the checkpoint, a white-coloured car (JK09A 2788) coming from Parimpora and heading towards Tengpora tried to flee from the spot but the terror associates were apprehended tactfully.
The statement said that during the search, two terrorist associates of LeT identified as Mumtaz Ahmad Lone, son of Ghulam Qadir Lone of Trehgam, Kupwara, and Jahangir Ahmad Lone, son of Ghulam Mohiuddin Lone of Trehgam, Kupwara, were arrested and a huge cache of arms and ammunition including two pistols, four magazines, two filler magazines, and eight grenades were recovered from their possession.
It said that a case under FIR No 128/2023 under the relevant sections of law had been registered at Police Station Batamaloo and an investigation had been started.
