Snatcher arrested by Rajbagh police
Jammu: The Rajbagh police in Kathua on Wednesday arrested a snatcher who was involved in a snatching incident in Marheen area of Kathua on September 27.
As per official sources, on 27-09-2023 a written complaint was lodged in police post Marheen that two motorcycle riding men snatched a bag (purse) of a lady in which one gold ring, gold chain, 5000 rupees cash and some important documents were kept.
Accordingly case FIR Number 261/2023 under section 382 IPC was registered in police station Rajbagh and investigation was started.

During the course of investigation, a joint team from Police Station Rajbagh led by SHO Inspector Tariq Ahmed assisted by Incharge Police Post Marheen PSI Jyoti Choudhary under the supervision of SDPO Border Dheeraj Katoch did hectic efforts and arrested snatcher who was identified as Shammu S/o Mashoor R/o Gota Ruha tehsil marheen district kathua and recovered the snatching bag(purse) and also recovered one Gold chain one Gold ring and some documents.
The overall arrests was made under the supervision of Kathua SSP Shiv deep Singh Jamwal
Further investigation of the case is going on.
