Doda Road accident: Bus owner nabbed by police

Jammu: The J&K police last night yesterday nabbed the culprit of brutal Doda road accident that claimed 39 lives and wounded 17 people at Assar area of Doda district on November 15.
A Special Investigation Team (SIT) led by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) DAR Doda and Addl SP Doda was formed to conduct a thorough probe to unearth the reason of the tragic accident.

The Doda police arrested the owner of the bus Deeraj Gupta s/o Kundan Lal Gupta who is a resident of Narwal Pain Satwari Jammu, for not properly following provisions of Motor Vehicle Act.
The bus was driven by a professional driver, Shakeel Ahmad, who also lost his life in the mishap.
