Vishwakarma Day celebrated with religious zeal in Jammu

Jammu: Locals on Monday celebrated Vishwakarma Day with religious zeal, gaiety in various areas of Jammu.
Score of people from all sections of society which includes women, men and children visited Lord Vishwakarma temple and performed pooja. Heavy rush of worshippers was seen since early in the morning at these religious places. Workers who do various jobs also worshipped their tools.

“We have been celebrating Vishwakarma day since ages. Lord Brahma and god Vishwakarma along with gods-goddesses created this universe. He had five sons  Manu, Maya, Tvastar, Shilpi and Visvajna and four daughters.
“Siddhi and Riddhi were god Vishwakarma’s daughters and they married to Lord Ganesha. Sun god’s wife Chaya is also his daughter”, a local man said.
