Jammu: Child dies after suffering electric shock

Jammu: A 7-year-old boy died after suffering an electric shock in Jammu’s Udhampur district yesterday evening.
The victim was identified as Tarun Kumar,7, Bika Kumar r/o Ramgarh of Udhampur.

As per report, the incident occurred when the victim went to his house’s terrace at 5pm to clean it ahead of Diwali yesterday in Dandyal village of Udhampur, when the child went to the terrace he picked up an iron pipe which came in contact with live wires hanging above and he suffered electric shock.
The victim’s mother was busy in daily chores and when she heard about her son’s plight she raised alarm and asked locals for help, who took the boy to GMC, Udhampur for treatment but doctors declared him as brought dead.
