              1 died, 3 wounded in mishap in Jammu

Jammu: A man died while several persons sustained injuries in a road mishap in Samba district of Jammu yesterday.
According to the report, the accident took place when an XUV car coming from Jammu head on collided with a car coming in the same direction from Kathua on Devak bridge in Vijaypur of Samba on Jammu-Pathankot National highway, leading to on the spot death of a biker which came in the crash and wounds to three others.

The crash created panic among the people and disrupted traffic at the scene for hours. However, after the mishap the injured were taken to Vijaypur Hospital for treatment by the help of locals, where doctors pronounced the motorcyclist as brought dead, while after first aid the doctors referred the victims to GMC, Jammu for further treatment.
The deceased was identified as Rocky Verma (31-32) address is not available yet while the injured pillon rider was identified as Deep Raj s/o Gyan Chand r/o Sunjwan, Jammu city.
A woman and 4-year-old kid also suffered injuries who were travelling in a car that met with mishap.
Taking cognisance of the mishap the Samba police has registered a case at Samba police station.
