Police apprehends man for hurting religious feelings in Jammu

Jammu: A man has been apprehended for  allegedly hurting religious feelings in Jammu on Friday.

According to the report,  a complaint was registered  at Peer Mitha police station against a  man who through his “objectionable” social media post allegedly disrespect sentiments of Hindu religion. Pertinent to mention here that the man also belongs to the same faith.

Acting on the complaint Police Station Incharge Peer Mitha, Inspector Rashid probed the matter and found that the 35-year-old accused man has posted an objectionable post against Hindu religion through his own social media account.

The police has arrested the man and a case FIR NO. 63/2023  U/S 295 A of IPC stands registered at Peer Mitha police station while a probe has been taken up.
