            Locals confront each other over land dispute in Jammu
Jammu: Several locals on Thursday came face to face due to land dispute in Kathua district of Jammu.
According to the report, the confrontation took place between two different parties of local people in Ward No. 5 at Shahidi Chowk in Kathua over 2 Kanal and 6 marlas of land there .The people were seen staking claim over the land and justified their claims amid police presence.

“There are two group of people of who are staking over this land we have told them to bring their witnesses.
“This piece of land is situated in Ward No.5 of Kathua and there are two group of people who are fighting with eachother for this property.
“The land dispute is between two parties and our higher officials have recorded statements of Surjeet Singh and Naveen Chandan which is one party and the second group’s statement is yet to be taken.
“The decision will come soon. Police is also here. There is no dispute on revenue department’s end.
“The revenue record is clear and we will share it later with media also”, a revenue department official told media.
