Gorkha Community issues apology for viral ‘Obscene’ dance in Jammu

Jammu: The Gorkha community on Thursday in Jammu issued an apology to local people after a video of an “indecent” dance being performed on a stage during Ramlila in Jammu’s Gorkha Nagar surfaced on social media.
As per report, the incident took place when some artists allegedly belonging to Gorkha community in Jammu performed indecent dance during Tataka scene in Ramlila performance in Gorkha Nagar area of Jammu, after which they were accused of wounding religious sentiments of locals.

After the scene went viral senior members of the Gorkha community said sorry publicly through a video for hurting religious emotions of the locals saying that they have been performing Ramlila here since past thirty years. The members said that they are sorry for the incident that happened for the first time and will not do such a thing in future to disrespect Sanatana Dharma in any way.
