Police foils bovine peddling in Jammu

Jammu: The Kathua police on Wednesday foiling a bovine peddling rescued several cattle from a truck in Kathua.

According to the report,  a naka was conducted by a police team headed by Lakhanpur PS Incharge, Sunil Sharma at Lakhanpur border in Kathua in which the police intercepted a truck (JK03B8711) coming from Punjab on the Lakhanpur border suspiciously.

During checking of the said vehicle the police recovered 16 cattle from the truck hidden behind a wall of flour sacks and sent it to a nearby cow shed built by Lakhanpur police.
