             Police recovers illicit alcohol bottles in Jammu

Jammu: The Samba police last night recovered illegal alcohol bottles, which was being sold by a man on dry day because it was Gandhi jayanti yesterday.
As per sources, the Vijaypur police yesterday night in their patrol movement saw a man who was selling illegal alcohol near Matador Stand Vijaypur on Ramgarh road in Samba to the local people. However, the accused who was selling the illicit liquor to people at higher rates ran away on seeing the police posse.

The police recovered 49 bottles of 180 ml each of JK Special Whisky from the possession of the spot of incident.
The accused is identified as Pankaj Sharma @ Batly s/o Ram Dass r/o Gurha Morh Vijaypur of Samba.
A case FIR No. 134/2023 U/S 48 (f) Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Vijaypur and a probe has begin to catch the accused.
