Man held by police disguising as lawyer in Jammu

Jammu: The Jammu police on Monday held a man impersonating as a lawyer in Jammu.
According to the report, acting on a complaint of a girl student the SHO of PS Nowabad Surinder Singh Raina apprehended a man who was taking money from college students faking as an advocate.

The man posing as a lawyer was taking money allegedly from students of GGM college and others. The matter came to fore when a girl student complained to Nowabad police that a man disguising as a law student took Rs 1500 giving various excuses and fled away.
Taking congisance of the girl’s complaint the police arrested the man and launched a probe.
The fake lawyer has been identified as Sarjeevan Singh alias Pankaj. A case under relevant sections of 420 has been registered against the accused at Nowabad police station.
