1 injured as fire broke out in hospital in Jammu

Jammu: A person sustained injuries after a fire broke out in Junk area of GMC, Bakshi Nagar in Jammu late last night.
As per report, the fire broke out at around 1-2am late in the night in junk yard near mortuary section of GMC Bakshi Nagar hospital due to which some hospital staff suffered burn injuries, who were attending the fire before fire tenders were called on the scene. However, one of the hospital employee who works in the mortuary suffered serious burn injuries who is being treated at the mentioned health facility.

There were also air-conditioner compressors in the junk area of the hospital which also exploded which made the blaze massive and pushed the fire to the spine ward close to the junk area.
After the fire spreaded to the spine ward the patients there panicked when the AC compressor blast shattered the ward’s windows. However, no patient suffered wounds as they came outside their ward when they heard the explosion.
