1 killed in road accident in Jammu

Jammu: Another road mishap has occurred in Samba district of Jammu in which a person got killed last night.
According to the report, the mishap happened when a speeding swift car (JK08E2752) hit a pedestrian at Jatwal chowk in Samba on Jammu-Pathankot National highway resulting in grave injuries to the victim.

After the accident, the victim man was rushed to Samba district hospital where the doctors declared him as brought dead. However, the police has seized the car of the accused and a probe is on.

The body of the deceased was shifted to Samba hospital for post-mortem examination and it will be shortly hand over to his family for cremation.

The deceased is identified as Vijay Kumar (45) s/o Khem Raj r/o Naran Muthi, Ghagwal of Samba.
