Three died of Dengue in Jammu Division

Jammu: Three people have died so far  from dengue in Jammu division while the J&K is still combating the mosquito-borne disease with fresh cases emerging from the two regions every other day.

As per sources, three people have died from Dengue who were being treated in GMC, Bakshi Nagar in Jammu while J&K has reported more than 1800 cases of this mosquito borne disease till now.

Symptoms of Dengue: High fever, Nausea, Muscle and Joint pains, Bleeding of gums, Weakness , Vomiting, drop in platelet count.

Important points for Dengue prevention

Get rid of stagnant water in households.

Aedes aegypti is morning biter, wear long sleeves.

Avoid self-medication and consult a doctor.

Observe dry-day once a week.

Stay hydrated that improves blood volume and platelet count.

Balanced diet must for positive patients.

Platelet count among positive patients must be checked by expert frequently.
