Police busts gang of thieves, kingpin among two nabbed in Jammu

Jammu:
The Samba Police yesterday arrested a burglar kingpin along with two other thieves in Samba and  stolen goods worth lakhs were also recovered from their possession.

According to the report, the Samba police acting on the complaints registered at Supwal, Samba police station, SIDCO police station against the burglars finally with great efforts nabbed a kingpin of thieves who was running a gang of burglars in Samba along with two others.

The apprehended burglars were identified as Imran Bhat alias Billa Gujjar s/o Sher Mohd Bhat r/o Sambal Chahkar, Udhampur A/P Kootah Morh tehsil Hiranagar district Kathua and Kishan Pal s/o Hukam Singh r/o Moradabad (Uttar Pradesh) A/P Hatli Morh district Kathua.

The burglar kingpin  “Billa Gujjar” was involved in Case FIR No. 220/2023 u/s 457, 380 IPC and FIR No. 221/2023 u/s 457, 380, 427 IPC registered at Police Station Samba and PP Supwal while burglar Kishan Pal was arrested in case FIR No. 171/2018 u/s 457/380 IPC registered at Police Station Samba through PP SIDCO.

Burglar kingpin Billa Gujjar used to recce the houses of local people faking as a painter in Samba, the report said.

The thieves were nabbed  by police team comprising of by SHO Police Station Samba Daljit Singh, Incharge Police Post SIDCO Samba PSI Priya Rani and ASI Balbir Kumar of PP Supwal under the supervision of DySP Garu Ram and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary.

Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh has said that 135 burglars have been arrested by Samba police in eight months and huge burgled goods  have been recovered from the possession of the thieves.
