Maharaja Hari Singh Birthday: Giant Ladoo-shaped Cake cut by natives

Several members of Yuva Rajput Sabha and local people cut a giant Ladoo-shaped cake weighing 128 kg at Dogra Chowk under the giant statue of J&K’s erstwhile king Maharaja Hari Singh celebrating the Maharaja’s birth anniversary.

Several natives joined the celebrations and the massive Ladoo-shaped cake was cut with a sword by the people amid chants of “Maharaja Hari Singh Amar Rahe, “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” “Jammu Ka Dogra Zindabad”.

“We extend greetings to everyone on the occasion of Maharaja Hari Singh birthday. I pray to God that everyone walk on the directions shown by Maharaja Hari Singh.

“I wish our J&K region to remain prosper. Since 2009, on the occasion of Maharaja Hari Singh’s birthday we make this hundred kgs Ladoo cake.

“We want the masses in Jammu to follow the path shown by our Maharaja”, a local said.

“With great enthusiasm and happiness the birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh is being celebrated at the feet of Bawe Wali Mata, which was built by our Dogra king.

“We have paid tributes to our Maharaja with flowers but this homage will only be completed.

“When we will be given back Article 370,  Article 35 the complete J&K state which was left by our king.

“We asked Former CM Kavinder Gupta ji to apologise but the attitude he displayed encouraged his boycott by people of Kathua, Samba and all people of Jammu.

“He provoked Yuva Rajput Sabha and alleged that they took money to agitate at Sarore toll plaza. I also did hunger strike. The govt opened wine shops, installed  smart meters and the Sarore toll plaza is totally illegal as there is no provision in UTs for the same”, a local leader said.

“The whole J&K is glad and we are celebrating the birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh. He was a secular king, he strongly opposed discrimination against Dalits in Temples and allowed their free movements in the sanctums”, a local man said.
