Police apprehended two inter-state nacro suppliers in Jammu

Jammu: The Samba police combating crime in Samba yesterday apprehended two inter-state narco suppliers in its Bari Brahmana area.
According to the report, the Samba police apprehended two inter-state drug smugglers from Bari Brahmana area of Samba district and recovered heroin worth of Rs 1 lakh approximately in international market from their possession.

The incarcerated heroin smugglers were identified as Israr Talib s/o Talib Hussain r/o Rajouri A/P Jammu and Kannav Magotra alias Kannu s/o Barinder Magotra r/o Jammu. The heroin smugglers were peddling heroin from Punjab to Samba district and Rajouri district.
A case FIR No. No 224/2023 u/s 8/21/22/27-A/29 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Bari Brahmana and a probe is on.
The smugglers were arrested at a naka laid in Bari Brahmana led by SHO P/S Bari Brahmana Sumit Sharma under the supervision of SDPO Bari Brahmana Rahul Nagar and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary.
Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Benam Tosh, has said that they have destroyed all heroin hotspots in Samba district. However, in the past eight months 72 hardcore drug-peddlers & 13 female drug-smuggler/suppliers have been imprisoned.
