BJP leader held for hiring contract killers to murder men in Jammu

Jammu: The Jammu police on Wednesday arrested a BJP leader in Bishnah area of Jammu for allegedly giving supari (hiring contract killers) to kill two man.
According to the report, the Bishnah police in Jammu has claimed that they have solved a 15 years old contract killing conspiracy case of a Jammu-based journalist and a man that happened in 2008. The police nabbed a prime suspect in this case and during the interrogation he told the police that he was paid Rs 35000 to murder a journalist and a man namely Sunny Sanyasi of Bishnah by Brahamjot alias Seetu, who is presently working as a leader of OBC Morcha of J&K BJP state unit.

During the interrogation, the prime suspect confessed to having taken up a contract by BJP OBC Morcha leader Brahmanjot r/o Bishnah to murder a man Sunny Sanyasi s/o Bajdev Raj r/o Bishnah of Jammu. The court has sent the accused to ten days of police custody.
Pertinent to mention that the accused is a history-sheeter and a case vide FIR No. 157/2008 U/S 307,34 4/ 25 of Arms act under Ranbir Penal Code (RPC) was registered against Brahamjot in Bisnah police station in 2008.
