       Two held for smuggling prohibited cough syrup bottles in J&K

The Srinagar police on Sunday arrested two men for smuggling drugs in Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district and recovered prohibited cough syrup bottles from them.
Sources said that the police intercepted an Eeco van at a police naka in Safakadal area of Srinagar and on checking the said vehicle recovered 22 bottles of Codeine-based cough syrup from the vehicle and apprehended two men.

The two cough syrup suppliers have been identified as Mohd Ashraf Burza S/o Mohd Sadiq Burza R/o Saraie Safakadal & Mohd Imran Khan S/o Gh Mohidin Khan R/o Sunarkul arrested on a naka with 22 bottles of Codeine.
A case FIR NO. 128/2023 U/S 8,22 of NDPS act has been registered in safakadal PS.
