J&K: Another Encounter breaks out

A terrorist has been killed in an encounter in Hathlanga village in Uri of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district this morning.

As per sources,  a gunfight broke out  this morning between terrorists and security forces, J&K police in the border village of Hathlanga in Uri of Baramulla district, after which the security personnel & J&K police cordoned the whole area and engaged with the terrorists and eventually killed one of them there.

“Encounter has started between #terrorists and Army & Baramulla Police in forward area of #Uri, Hathlanga in #Baramulla district. Further details shall follow”, said Kashmir Police earlier on X.

This is another encounter that broke out in Uri of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district. Earlier, on Wednesday  during the initial exchange of fire in the afternoon Colonel Manpreet Singh, Major Ashish Dhonack, and deputy superintendent of Jammu and Kashmir Police Humayun Bhat laid their lives making the surpeme sacrifice for the country against the terrorists in Gadole area of Kokernag of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

On Tuesday,  a Rifle man Ravi Kumar of Kishtwar district and an Indian army service dog Kent (6) also laid their lives making the ultimate sacrifice for the country in Narla area of Kalakote in Rajouri district.

However, the search operation is still on in Hathlanga village as there are reports that 1-2 more terrorists are still hidden in the forest, while the Kokernag encounter between terrorists, security forces & J&K police has entered its fourth day to hunt down the terrorists there.

Earlier, in the morning a video was shared online by the Indian army in which they claimed that they have destroyed the hideout of the terrorists in Gadole woods of Kokernag, while since wednesday the security forces are using drones for vigilance and sophisticated weapons to erase the terrorists hiding in that terrain.
