Woman killed, 7 injured in road mishap

Jammu: A woman was killed and seven other passengers suffered injuries after a JCB in which they were travelling met with an accident in Kashore area of Doda district today.
As per the report, five school children belonging to two women who took a lift from a driver of an earth moving machine met with mishap in Kashore area of Doda, when they were heading towards Jodhpur in Doda, following which one woman died on the spot and 7 others sustained wounds.

There were three boys and two girls in the JCB along with their mothers and a driver of the earth mover.
The injured persons were evacuated to Associated Hospital and GMC Doda for the treatment. However, two seriously hurt kids have been referred to GMC Jammu for further treatment.
The women and kids are residents of Itwass village of Doda while their identities and that of the driver is yet to be ascertain.
Earlier, in the day 21 people suffered injuries in a road accident in Garsoo area of Doda.
