Jammu: Army Dog martyred in encounter

Jammu: An Indian army Dog attained martyrdom in yesterday’s encounter between security forces and terrorists in Narla area of Jammu’s Rajouri district.

As per sources,  the incident took place when a Dog of  21 Army Dog unit was leading a team of security forces and J&K police on the trail of escaping terrorists and came under heavy fire and succumbed on the ground shielding the Indian Army.

The martyred Indian army dog has been identified as a 6-year-old female Labrador Dog namely Kent belonging to 21 Army Dog unit.
