12-year-old girl abducted, raped by man in Jammu

Jammu: A 12-year-old girl was allegedly abducted and raped by a man men here in a village in Jammu’s Samba district yesterday.
According to the report, the incident took place at Mahur Garh village in Samba when a man kidnapped a 12-year-old and raped her.

The accused rapist has been identified as Balbir Singh (35) s/o Karan Singh r/o Mahur Garh village of district Samba.
A case FIR NO. 21/7/2023 U/S 363, 376 of the Indian Penal Code IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act was registered against the accused at a police station in Samba.
The victim’s identity has not been revealed to protect her privacy as per Supreme Court directives on cases related to sexual assault.
