SSP Presides over “BHRASHTACHAR MUKT J&K” programme in Jammu
Jammu: Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh yesterday presided over “Bhrashtachar Mukt J&K” programme at Village Bara in the jurisdiction of Police Post Supwal, Police Station Samba, which was attended by a large number of people including Panches, Sarpanches, Lambardars, retried officers, Ex-servicemen, noted social activists and other prominent persons of village Bara and adjoining areas.
Those who spoke on the occasion on behalf of the public were Ex-Sarpanch Omkar Nath, Naib Sarpanch Monu Sharma, Panch Shakti Parkash Mangotra, Panch Vijay Kumar, Panch Girdhari Lal, Lambar Kulwant Singh, retired police officer Gulzar Singh and prominent persons including PRIs.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Samba Benam Tosh said that week-long “Bhrashtachar Mukt J&K” campaign which was started on 4th of September 2023 has been concluded yesterday on 9th of September 2023 but to eradicate the menace of corruption it is imperative that the discussions & discourses on the subject should be continued and more and more people should come forward to throw light on the ill-effects of corruption and to suggest way out to eradicate the malaise of corruption from the society.
Benam Tosh further said that present JK UT dispensation is of integrity and transparency and complaint, if there is any, against the unscrupulous elements should be brought to the notice of the concerned higher ups for appropriate action against him. SSP Samba exhorted upon the people to fight against corruption with dogged determination and wipe it out, as it is one of the major blots on the society next only to militancy & drug menace.
