Goons assaulted family in Jammu

Jammu: An argument led to a assault by goons on a family in Kathua’s Chak Bhaga village, which left some members of a family injured last night.
According to the report, the incident took place when some Sikh men armed with weapons attacked three members of a family, when the goons abused one of the family member who worked as a electrician when he couldn’t go to the accused’s house when he invited him for repair works.

“My son was going to his work then one of the man called him in a rude manner and my son told him to not behave rudely with him.
“Then my father’s brother came and told the man and my son to go their respective homes.
“Later the man came with some other men and attacked my son with a knife. My husband, son and nephew are hurt.
“They were Sikh men from Punjab who attacked my son. Our boys were standing outside our home and the accused misbehaved with them.
“When my son told him to not misbehave he called men and attacked our sons with knives. They were continuously attacking our family members.
“They badly wounded three of our family members and forcefully pushed me and my wife. The police came but they have not been arrested.
“The injured man is an electrician and a man namely Anu came to him and abused the victim but the victim told him to stop abusing him.
“Later Anu called his men and attacked the victim’s family members”, said Mr Somraj, Ward member of the victims.
