Man duped by thief in Jammu

Jammu: 
A man in Jammu was duped by a thief who posed as a govt employee and looted him.

As per report, the incident happened when a burglar impersonating as  a govt employee went to a man’s home in Jammu and told him to give his scooty and Rs 500 for petrol and fled away.

“A man came to my house in the morning whose name was Shabir Ahmad and he told me that he is employed in Jammu Development Authority (JDA).

“He told me that his bike has run out of petrol and asked me to give him some money and vehicle so he could go to petrol pump to buy fuel.

“He took my scooty and told me that he will come back in 20 minutes and it is 5pm now and he has not returned yet.

“Some people are only familiar with him by his face.

“My scooty’s colour is black and its registration number is ‘JK02A6328’.

“He came to me at 9am and told me that he has to go to his office. I gave him my vehicle on humanitarian grounds”, the victim man said.
