Police seized vehicles for illegal mining in Jammu

Jammu: Continuing its drive against illegal mining in Jammu the police has seized nine more vehicles which were being used for illicit mining in Samba yesterday.
As per police sources, a Police team of Samba comprising of SHO Police Station Samba Daljeet Singh, SHO Police Station Vijaypur Sandeep Charak and ASI Ramesh Chander under the supervision of DySP Garu Ram, SDPO Vijaypur Rohit Kumar and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary seized 9 more vehicles being used for illegitimate mining at different locations in the Samba district.

The seized vehicles were 5 dumpers bearing registration Nos. JK02CJ-1867, JK21E-5572, JK02BF-6649, JK21E-8590 and JK14H-1478 and three tractor bearing registration Nos. JK21F-2501, JK21H-9386, JK21G-9341, while one of the tractor was without registration number.
Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh has shared a data in which he has said that in past seven months the Samba police has seized 125 vehicles, which were used for illicit mining in Samba.
