J&K: Two arrested for stabbing boy

Srinagar: Two boys have been arrested for allegedly stabbing and injuring a 19-year-old boy in Bemina area of Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Tuesday.

As per report, the incident occurred outside Government Polytechnic for Women Bemina, Srinagar when an altercation broke between two boys and the victim over something, after which the two boys allegedly stabbed the teenager with a sharp-edged weapon and he suffered wounds on his chest, head and lower back.

After the incident the teen was rushed to JVC Hospital Bemina, Srinagar where his condition is said to be stable now.

“Two (2) accused namely Abrar Shabir S/o Shabir Dar R/o Chadoora and Rahil Ali S/o Ali Mohd Pehloo R/o Dalgate Srinagar arrested for assaulting/injuring a polytechnic student with a sharp edged weapon. FIR No. 89/2023 registered in Bemina PS. Weapon of offence also recovered” Srinagar police said on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter).

The victim has been identified as Mehran Ahmad, son of Parvaiz Ahmad Khuroo of Sopore.

While the accused have been identified as Abrar Shabir S/o Shabir Dar R/o Chadoora and Rahil Ali S/o Ali Mohd Pehloo R/o Dalgate Srinagar.

A case FIR No. 89/2023 registered in police station Bemina and the police has also recovered weapon used in the commission of crime from the possession of accused persons.
