J&K students allege attacks by locals

J&K students alleged on Sunday that they were thrashed by locals in Mewar university of  Rajasthan’s Chittorgarh area over a fracas inside the university premises last night.

As per report, the incident happened inside the Mewar university’s hostel mess when a scuffle broke out between a Kashmiri student and a local Rajasthani student of the same university, when the Rajasthani student tried to cut the mess food queue and the Kashmiri student told him to be in the line to take food as claimed by the Kashmiri students.

Sources said that after the scuffle the Rajasthani student brought many locals with him inside the Mewar’s university campus with stones, sticks, pistol and thrashed 30 Kashmiri students and wounded them.

Some of the students has sustained stitches in this incident. However, several students have also been detained.
