Incarcerated Yuva Rajput Sabha members released from prison in Jammu

Jammu: The twenty six members who were arrested by Samba police on 21 August and were later shifted to Kathua jail has been released from the prison on Sunday. The YRS members incarceration evoked widespread protests, huger strikes, Bandh call from different sections of society in Jammu demanding the release of YRS members and a halt to tax collection at Sarore Toll plaza.
Speaking to the media, one of the protestors who are on hunger strike, Mr Sugreev, said, “The is the fourth day of our hunger strike and the govt has not yet clarified how many they have released from jail.

“One of our motive was to free YRS members from jail and to stop Sarore toll plaza. We consider this first step as our success but our motive is yet to be completed.
“We request people of Jammu to not forget our objective. This is not a celebration and we should not celebrate early.
“The Jammuities should not forget why YRS members went to jails if we forget then that means we are at fault and we fail to understand their sacrifice.
“The people have been jailed, woman have been cane charged and the innocent people of Jammu shouldn’t never forget it.
“We will continue our agitation”.
“Our agitation began with Sarore Toll plaza and we raised two demands. The first was the release of YRS members who were unreasonably imprisoned from Sarore Toll plaza and second is to stop Sarore toll collection.
“They were staging a peaceful agitation and were apprehended wrongly. We will continue our hunger strike and we continue it till our last breathe”, another agitator added.
