Police arrested hardcore criminal in Jammu

Jammu: The Jammu police has arrested a hardcore criminal for abduction and rape of a minor girl and also for heroine smuggling yesterday.
As per report, the Samba police were trying to nab a hardcore criminal on charges of abduction and rape of a minor girl since 2022 in Samba and after strenuous efforts they got success in arresting the accused man, who created a milieu of fear in the locals of the area.

The accused has been identified as Makhan Din s/o Siraj Din r/o Khanwal tehsil Marheen of Kathua.
A case FIR No.103/2022 u/s 363,376,109 IPC & 3/4 POCSO Act has been registered against the accused in Police Station Ghagwal of Samba. After committing crime, the accused continued to avoid police arrest since 2022 and police were making hectic efforts to arrest him.
A case FIR No.356/2023 u/s 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kathua against the accused for illicit narco peddling.
The case is being probed by Incharge Police Post Rajpura SI Hardev Singh under the supervision of SHO Police Station Ghagwal Bharat Bhushan, DySP Garu Ram and Addittional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary.
