Jammu: 1 died, several injured in incident

Jammu: One man died of electrocution while five others suffered injuries after getting electrocuted in Aala peer area of Jammu’s Poonch district.
Sources said that the incident happened when some locals of Aala peer village in Poonch were moving a tin shed to use for deceased’s person grave at Sayed Gafoor graveyard and they suffered electric shock when the tin shed came in contact with a live wire. After which one man died on the spot while five other men suffered wounds.

After the incident the wounded men were rushed to Raja Sukhdev Hospital Poonch for the treatment.
The deceased who died of electric shock has been identified as Mohd Aslam r/o Aala peer of Poonch.
The locals of Aala peer have demanded the local authorities to shift the hanging electric wires in the Sayed Gaffor graveyard area, so that any such untoward incident can be avoided in the future.
