Locals observe Bandh in Jammu for their demands

Jammu: Today a full closure (Bandh) in Samba is being observe here in Jammu amidst high security arrangements by the local people demanding the release of twenty six members of Yuva Rajput Sabha and withdrawal of FIR against them, who were shifted to District Jail Kathua last night for agitating against the deduction of toll tax at Sarore toll plaza.
“We had no intentions to block highway and to disturb the peaceful atmosphere of Jammu. The local regime has created this situation here.

“Yesterday, local youths in large from Jammu, Gurha Slathia, Bishnah, Greater Kailash, Vijaypur came to Samba to display solidarity with us.
“That was really shameful what happened yesterday and we want immediate release of YRS members from jail.
“We are staging peaceful protests and we don’t take any responsibility of any miscreant the authorities can tackle them as they wish”, a protestor said.
“We are staging agitations for arrested members of Yuva Rajput Sabha and against illegal deduction of toll fee at Sarore toll plaza”, another protestor said.
“The people are displaying solidarity for Yuva Rajput Sabha who has begin demonstrations against the illicit Sarore toll plaza.
“From today onwards in various parts of Jammu division protests will begin against the illegitimate Sarore toll plaza.
“The Vyapar Mandal of Samba has observed Bandh till 1pm and Ghagwal Vyapar Mandal also extended their support and observed the Bandh.
“In this connection the Ware house at Vikram chowk has also given a bandh call and the Transport Association Jammu is also waiting for the same.
“Our local leaders of the ruling party agreed to lend support to Yuva Rajput Sabha when they held protests but they didn’t as they only lie to people.
“The local politicians care for their interest only and have no sympathy for the suffering masses.
“We will give them a befitting reply in the upcoming elections and we will uproot Sarore toll plaza”, one of the agitators added.
