             J&K: Police arrested notorious drug smugglers
Baramulla Police booked 4 Most Wanted & Notorious Drug Smugglers namely Naseer Bhatti, Riyaz Khanday of Madiyan Kamalkote, Hafeez Abassi & Zahid Abassi of Gawhalta Uri under PIT-NDPS Act; Lodged in Central Jail Kotbhalwal, Jammu.
Acting tough against drug peddlers and to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Baramulla Police booked 4 Most wanted & notorious drug smugglers namely Mohd Naseer Bhatti S/O Nazar Din, Mohd Riyaz Khanday S/O Mohd Sharif both residents of Madiyan Kamalkote Uri, Mohammad Hafeez Abassi S/O Abdul Rashid & Zahid Hussain Abassi S/O Sajawal Khan both residents of Gawhalta Uri under PIT-NDPS Act after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent Authority.
The booked drug smugglers have been detained and subsequently lodged in Central Jail Kot-Bhalwal Jail Jammu.
Pertinent to mention that many cases are registered against these drug Smugglers and were involved in promoting drug abuse trade by supplying drugs to local youth of Madiyan Kamalkote, Gawhalta Uri & other areas of District Baramulla. Despite their involvement in many FIR’s they did not mend their activities and were again involved in promoting drug abuse trade by supplying drugs to local youth.
General public of Baramulla appreciated the role of Police for their action against drug peddlers. Baramulla Police consistent actions against the drug peddlers should reassure the community members that Baramulla police is making all efforts to keep our society free from drug abuse.
