Earlier scores of members of Yuva Rajput Sabha organised a foot march from Dogra chowk to Sarore Toll plaza in Samba and held a peaceful protest there.
“We people pay taxes and still we don’t get facilities in J&K. Our regimes make fake promises with us.
“Our govt lied to us that they have sent a letter to Transport minister Nitin Gadkari regarding Sarore Toll plaza.
“A union territory is completely supervised by the Home minister and Mr Gadkari has no role here to play.
“Mr Nitin Gadkari has said that this toll is illegal last year. We will not pay toll tax till our roads are not repaired”, an agitator said.
“If a Deputy Commissioner in Himachal Pradesh can stop the collection of toll tax and make it non-functional then why not a LG can do the same here.
“There are 25 MLAs from Jammu and no one has come here to support people including J&K’s opposition parties”, another protestor asserted.
